On April 15, 2020, RIAC held a videoconference with the Italian Institute for International Political Studies (ISPI).

RIAC is an ISPI partner in the preparation of the annual international conference "Mediterranean Dialogues" — MED, an event implemented by the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation in order to discuss the issues of the Mediterranean region. RIAC will organize one of 10 regional seminars in preparation for the MED Conference.

The participants of the videoconference on the ISPI side included Serena Massimi, Head, International Conferences and Events; Annalisa Perteghella, Research Fellow for the Middle East, North Africa and Transatlantic Relations at ISPI; and Chiara Lovotti, Associate Research Fellow, Middle East and North Africa Centre at ISPI. RIAC was represented at the conference by Andrey Kortunov, RIAC Director General, and Tatyana Bogdasarova, RIAC Program Coordinator.

The conference participants shared their work plans for 2020 and discussed changes in the previously agreed activities. In order to prepare a regional seminar, that was to be held in June 2020 at RIAC, 4 online expert meetings will be organized to discuss the key topics of the seminar followed by the publication of the materials.
