On April 13, 2021, the International Crisis Group (ICG) held an online discussion on the current situation in Myanmar in the aftermath of the February military coup.

The discussion focused on the following issues: the current landscape of political forces in the country; issues of human rights, ethnic and religious minorities; and possible trajectories envisioning how the political crisis in Myanmar could unfold. Other topics included the role of external factors in the development of events in the country, the prospects for possible mediation on the part of international organizations as well as measures that could be taken by the global civil society to help stabilize the situation in the country.
