On September 27, 2014, in Vienna, International Discussion Club Valdai held situational analysis "Breaking the Deadlock: Laying the Foundation for a New World Order" as part of preparations for its 11th session to take place in Sochi next October.

The event was attended by foreign policy experts with the Club membership from Russia, the United States, India, Australia, Switzerland and Austria, including RIAC Director General Andrey Kortunov, Editor-in-Chief of Russia in Global Affairs magazine and RIAC Member Fyodor Lukyanov, Director of the HSE Center for Comprehensive European and International Studies Timofey Bordachev and Executive Director of Valdai Club Pavel Andreyev.
