On August 18, 2021, Singapore Embassy in Russia hosted a meeting that brought together Andrei Bystritsky, Chairman of the Board of the Foundation for Development and Support of the Valdai Discussion Club; Vasily Kashin, RIAC Member, Deputy Director Centre for Comprehensive European and International Studies (CCEIS), Higher School of Economics; Andrey Kortunov, RIAC Director General; Vitaly Naumkin, RIAC member, Academic Director of the Institute of Oriental Studies, Russian Academy of Sciences; and a group of foreign ambassadors and senior diplomats, to discuss issues related to the situation in and around Afghanistan.
