On January 31 Andrey Kortunov, RIAC Director General, Fyodor Lukyanov, RIAC Member, Editor-in-Chief of Russia in Global Affairs magazine, Chairman of the Presidium of the Council for Foreign and Defense Policy, had a meeting with Jon M. Huntsman, Ambassador of the U.S. to Russia.

On January 31 Andrey Kortunov, RIAC Director General, Fyodor Lukyanov, RIAC Member, Editor-in-Chief of Russia in Global Affairs magazine, Chairman of the Presidium of the Council for Foreign and Defense Policy, had a meeting with Jon M. Huntsman, Ambassador of the U.S. to Russia.

Leonid Gozman, prominent Russian politician, Andrey Kolesnikov, Chair of the Russian Domestic Politics and Political Institutions Program at the Carnegie Moscow Center, and the staff of the U.S. Embassy in Moscow also took part in the meeting. The following issues were discussed in the course of the meeting: current problems in Russia-the U.S. relations, prospects for not following confrontational pattern of interaction, as well as the issues of short and mid-term social, economic, and political development of Russia.
