6 февраля генеральный директор РСМД Андрей Кортунов встретился с находящимся в Москве президентом иранского Института политических и международных исследований (Institute for Political & International Studies – IPIS) Сейедом Каземом Саджадпуром (Seyed Kazem Sajjadpour) и советником министра иностранных дел Ирана, послом Сейедом Расулом Мусави (Seyed Rasoul Mousavi).
On February 6, Andrey Kortunov, RIAC Director General, met with Seyed Kazem Sajjadpour, Director, Institute for Political & International Studies (IPIS), and Ambassador Seyed Rasoul Mousavi, Advisor to Iran's Minister of Foreign affairs.
The meeting covered RIAC-IPIS cooperation, initiated in 2014, and preparation and organization of an international conference on Russia-Iran relations' development issues in Tehran. The conference is to take place in the near future.
The parties exchanged their opinions on current issues in the Middle East, prospects of Syrian crisis settlement, possible change of the U.S. role in the Middle East and the future of multilateral institutions for Asian security and development. Several representatives of the Islamic Republic of Iran Embassy to Russia also took part in the event.
