After the successful implementation of the project “Russian-German Relations in 2030: Four Scenarios” presented on October 31, 2013 in Moscow with the support of the Russian International Affairs Council, the Friedrich Ebert Foundation launched another large-scale program “The European Union and the East: Scenarios 2030” aimed at elaborating scenarios for development of relations between the European Union, East European countries and Russia up to 2030.
After the successful implementation of the project “Russian-German Relations in 2030: Four Scenarios” presented on October 31, 2013 in Moscow with the support of the Russian International Affairs Council, the Friedrich Ebert Foundation launched another large-scale program “The European Union and the East: Scenarios 2030” aimed at elaborating scenarios for development of relations between the European Union, East European countries and Russia up to 2030.
On May 16-19, 2014 Berlin hosted the first stage of the joint effort taken by 20 young political scientists from the EU, East Europe and Russia, who reached a consensus on the key drivers and factors affecting the dialogue between the European Union and its eastern neighbors. Basic outlines are expected to emerge at the working group workshops next July and September.
