On November 9-11, 2015, RIAC Program Director Ivan Timofeev was in Astana at the first session of the Astana Club created for discussion of key Eurasian problems and trends by international analysts. The new platform partners with the Russian International Affairs Council, German Council on Foreign Relations, China Institutes of Contemporary International Relations and Carnegie Endowment for International Peace.

On November 9-11, 2015, RIAC Program Director Ivan Timofeev was in Astana at the first session of the Astana Club created for discussion of key Eurasian problems and trends by international analysts. The new platform partners with the Russian International Affairs Council, German Council on Foreign Relations, China Institutes of Contemporary International Relations and Carnegie Endowment for International Peace.

The event was attended by prominent experts from Russia, the United States, Europe, China, Turkey, Iran and other countries. Dr. Timofeyev spoke at the opening session titled “Rule, Eurasia” and panel discussion with participation of Kazakh Prime Minister Karim Massimov and Foreign Minister Yerlan Idrissov.

The discussants were also presented report “Geo-Economics of Eurasia” prepared by think tanks cooperating with the Astana Club.
