On May 28, 2021, RIAC Director General had a meeting with Venkatesh Varma, Indian Ambassador to Russia. A wide range of issues related to bilateral Russian-Indian relations were discussed during the meeting, including the current state and prospects for the development of BRICS, RIC and SCO, the role of the United States and China in the Indo-Pacific region, as well as the dynamics of the current situation in Afghanistan, the possibilities of Iran nuclear deal restoration, and the role of India and Russia in the changing system of global politics.

On May 28, 2021, RIAC Director General Andrey Kortunov had a meeting with Venkatesh Varma, Indian Ambassador to Russia. A wide range of issues related to bilateral Russian-Indian relations were discussed during the meeting, including the current state and prospects for the development of BRICS, RIC and SCO, the role of the United States and China in the Indo-Pacific region, as well as the dynamics of the current situation in Afghanistan, the possibilities of Iran nuclear deal restoration, and the role of India and Russia in the changing system of global politics.

The Indian Ambassador was informed about RIAC projects with institutional partners in India and about the Council's short-term work plans on the Indian vector of research.
