Dear colleagues,
2015 will mark the fourth year that our website hosts discussions on international issues with the participation of experts, bloggers and ordinary users. Traditionally, the most popular area of discussion focuses on forecasting and analytical materials. There is high demand for short-term expert projections with regard to various crisis situations, as well as for predictions about longer-term global trends.
This year, we would like to shake up the format of the discussions and propose the International Affairs Forecast of the Year Contest.
We would like you to offer answers to the questions:
- How do you think the current international crises will develop?
- What crisis situations may arise in 2015?
- What events (crises, regions, countries, people, industries, achievements, etc.) are likely to dominate the global agenda in 2015?
Answers should not be too extensive; you should be able to sum up your position in 3000 characters or less.
We welcome brevity, a reasoned presentation of your position, originality and a good line of argument.
Your forecasts will be accepted until February 8, 2015 and can be sent to prognosis@russiancouncil.ru
Answers that have passed preliminary moderation will be published on a separate expert page of the RIAC blog platform. An open discussion of the entries will be held on the website throughout February. Users will be able to vote for their favourite pieces.
A report about the competition will be published on the RIAC website as part of our year-in-review publication. Winning entries will be included in the annual RIAC digest and their authors will receive prizes – RIAC publications and other priceless gifts.
We call upon all participants to be brave, original, interesting and, above all, proactive!
