On January 14, 2014, RIAC President Igor Ivanov met Turkish Ambassador to Russia Umit Yardym to discuss bilateral cooperation of independent think tanks, universities and civil society institutions. Dr. Ivanov informed the Ambassador about RIAC’s current and future Turkey-related projects, after which the sides examined possible formats and priority issues for the upcoming activities. The meeting was also attended by First Secretary of Turkey’s Embassy Mehmet Akif Koc, RIAC Director General Andrey Kortunov and Program Director Ivan Timofeev.
