On May 27, 2022, European Eye on Radicalization (EER), an international multimedia platform, held an online expert discussion on the consequences of Russia-Ukraine conflict for the geopolitical situation in various regions of the world and for the prospects of countering international terrorism and political radicalism.
On May 27, 2022, European Eye on Radicalization (EER), an international multimedia platform, held an online expert discussion on the consequences of Russia-Ukraine conflict for the geopolitical situation in various regions of the world and for the prospects of countering international terrorism and political radicalism.
The discussion addressed the likely impact on political extremism of such factors as the increase in cross-border migration flows in Europe, the large number of weapons in circulation not controlled by states, the aggravation of food problems in several regions of the world, and the decrease in the ability of great powers and international organizations to effectively cooperate in the fight against terrorism and extremism.
The discussion was attended by Said Saddiki, Professor of International Relations and International Law at USMBA (Morocco); David de Roche, Associate Professor at the Near East South Asia Center for Strategic Studies (USA); Arlinda Rrustemi, Professor at Leiden University (Netherlands); and Andrey Kortunov, RIAC Director General.
