On August 15, 2016, German Foreign Minister Frank Walter Steinmeier met with members of the Russian civil society at the Ural Federal University named after the first President of Russia B. N. Yeltsin, Yekaterinburg, RIAC was represented by Program Director Ivan Timofeev.

On August 15, 2016, German Foreign Minister Frank Walter Steinmeier met with members of the Russian civil society at the Boris Yeltsin Urals State University, Yekaterinburg, RIAC was represented by Program Director Ivan Timofeev.

The event was used for the presentation of the updated project "Germany and Russia in 2030" performed jointly by German Friedrich Ebert Foundation, RIAC and Urals University and devoted to the dynamics of the Russian-German relationship and development of recommendations for the interested agencies of the two countries. Ivan Timofeyev also presented the final RIAC's collection "The World in 100 Years", an anthology of analytical articles on long-term aspects of international relations.
