On December 23, 2013 the first meeting of the Working group on social impact investing (SII) was held on the platform of the RIAC. The SII working group was initiated by a number of think tanks, development institutions, entrepreneurial, financial and educational structures from Russia, the CIS countries and the Russian-speaking diaspora. Its aim is to contribute to the elaboration of standards of impact investing, their development and adaptation to practical activities of relevant development institutions. The event was opened by RIAC Program Director Ivan Timofeev and moderated by Director of the Center of corporate entrepreneurship of the Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology Sergey Chernyshev.

This meeting was the first public event of the Working group. It is planned to organize its work on a regular basis, conduct research, project, educational and outreach work and promote the standards of impact investing in the Russian-speaking social and cultural spaces.
