On February 1-3, RIAC President Igor Ivanov and Director General Andrey Kortunov took part in the 49th Munich Security Conference, also attended by RIAC members German Gref, Dmitry Trenin, Vyacheslav Trubnikov and Igor Yurgens, as well as several RIAC top experts. Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov, also a RIAC member, addressed the forum.

On the Conference sidelines, RIAC representatives held talks and consultations on bilateral and multilateral cooperation with their foreign partners, among them international movement Global Zero, European Leadership Network for Multilateral Nuclear Disarmament and Non-Proliferation, Atlantic Council of the United States, participants of the Euro-Atlantic Security Initiative, as well as other U.S. and European foundations, think tanks and NGOs.
