On May 28-29, 2016 Moscow hosted the 38th round of the International RAND Business Leaders Forum (IBLF). The Forum convenes under the auspices of the Rand Corporation twice a year beginning from 1997. The Forum was originally a platform for a bilateral Russian-American business dialogue, but in recent years the list of participants has been enlarged by mostly European business leaders and experts.
On May 28-29, 2016 Moscow hosted the 38th round of the International RAND Business Leaders Forum (IBLF). The Forum convenes under the auspices of the Rand Corporation twice a year beginning from 1997.
The Forum was originally a platform for a bilateral Russian-American business dialogue, but in recent years the list of participants has been enlarged by mostly European business leaders and experts. As before, the IBLF gathered CEOs and owners of key Russian and U.S. corporations, investment funds, consultancies, expert panels and civil society organizations, representatives of ministries and agencies of the two countries. This year the Forum was also attended by representatives of major European and Asian businesses, international think tanks and the media.
The Russian International Affairs Council has taken part in the work of the Forum since 2012. At the meeting in Moscow RIAC was represented by Andrey Gaydamaka, Vice President of Investor Relations at OJSC Lukoil; Alexandr Dynkin, Director of the RAS Institute for World Economy and International Relations; Andrey Kolosovsky, Director of Legal and Corporate Affairs at Microsoft Russia; RIAC Director General Andrey Kortunov; Vitaly Naumkin, Academic Advisor of the RAS Institute for Oriental Studies; Boris Titov, Russian Federation Commissioner for Entrepreneurs’ Rights; Alexander Shokhin, President of the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs; Igor Yurgens, President of the All-Russian Insurance Association; David Yakobashvili, Vice President of the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs. At the final session of the Forum, RIAC President Igor Ivanov delivered a report on the current status and possible development scenarios for Russian-American relations.
