The Think Tanks and Civil Societies Program at the University of Pennsylvania has released its annual Global Go to Think Tank Index Report. In the list “Top Think Tanks in Central and Eastern Europe” RIAC occupies 63rd place among the 90 think tanks. Besides, RIAC was ranked 107th in the specific field of defense and national security studies. In the category “Top Foreign Policy and International Affairs Think Tanks” RIAC was ranked 133rd. In the category, where think tanks are honored for their excellent research and innovative advances (Think Tank to Watch in 2017) RIAC is 75th out of 148 centers. RIAC is ranked 146th in the category “Best Independent Think Tank”.

The Think Tanks and Civil Societies Program at the University of Pennsylvania has released its annual Global Go to Think Tank Index Report, the most comprehensive ranking of the world’s top think tanks. The program conducts research on policy institutes around the world and has a database of over 6,800 think tanks from across the world.  The Brookings Institution (the U.S.A.), Chatham House (the United Kingdom) and the French Institute of International Relations (IFRI) (France) occupy the top three slots of the index. In this 10th report, RIAC retains its place in various nominations.

The report classifies research centres into global and regional, includes thematic rankings based on the following criteria: management and organisation resources, intellectual and scientific production, influence on policies and trends, and national attitudes towards them. A call for Nominations was sent to over 6,800 think tanks and approximately over 7,500 journalists, public and private donors, and policy-makers from around the world.
