On June 23, 2014, RIAC President Igor Ivanov, Director General Andrey Kortunov and RIAC Representative in China Igor Alekseev met leaders of China Association for International Friendly Contacts, among them its President Li Zhaoxing, former Chinese foreign minister.

Having discussed furthering of Russian-Chinese cooperation in education, science and civil society, the two sides agreed to advance the bilateral dialogue.
