On October 28, 2014, RIAC hosted the second working meeting within project "Russia and Asia-Pacific Region: Conceptual Basis for Security and Development Policy" with attendance of RIAC Deputy Program Director Timur Makhmutov, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Gleb Ivashentsov, Head of Korea and Mongolia Department at RAS Institute for Oriental Studies Alexander Vorontsov, MGIMO-University Professor Yuri Dubinin, Director of Center for APEC Studies and MGIMO-University Assistant Professor Natalia Stapran, Leading Researcher at RAS Institute for Oil and Gas Problems Andrey Sumin, MGIMO-University Professor and Chief Researcher of RAS Institute for Far Eastern Studies Svetlana Suslina, and Head of Regional Projects at Russkiy Mir Foundation and Executive Director of National Committee for BRICS Studies Georgy Toloraya.

The participants exchanged opinions on project's intermediate results, as well as key aspects of Russia-South Korea relations and Northeast Asia security.
