On December, 9 2025 RIAC hosted an expert meeting titled “Regional Dynamics in the Middle East: Drivers and Implications”.

Institute for National Security Studies (Israel) Research Program Director Raz Zimmt presented an expert report on the situation in the region. Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Russia Alexander Maryasov, Vice-Rector for Human Resources of the MGIMO University Vladimir Morozov, Associate Professor at the Department of Jewish Studies of the Institute of Asian and African Studies of the Lomonosov Moscow State University Luiza Khlebnikova presented their opinions.

Experts discussed current Middle East situation features and the perspectives of its further development. Special attention was paid to the role of non-state actors.
