On November 16, 2025, the RUDN University hosted a workshop titled “The Role of Non-State Actors in Middle Eastern Politics: 2025 Outcomes”.

The workshop brought together Russian and Iranian scholars. During the discussion, experts examined the role of non-state actors in political processes in the Middle East and how their activities affect regional dynamics.

Representing the RIAC, Program Manager Ivan Bocharov took part in the workshop and delivered a presentation entitled “Non-State Armed Actors in the Middle East: Conceptualizing the Problem”.
