On October 17, 2014, RIAC Director General Andrey Kortunov and President of China Institute of Contemporary International Relations (CICIR) Ji Zhiye signed an agreement for implementation of joint projects and expansion of expert-level cooperation on key issues of bilateral relations and global development through academic exchanges, international conferences, roundtables and consultations.

Last March, analysts of the two think tanks met to discuss the Russian-Chinese dialogue, while in June, 2014 Dr. Kortunov had talks with the CICIR governors.
