Dr. Kortunov briefed the attendees on RIAC's plans within project "Development of Russian-Chinese Relations," joint work with the Fudan University Institute of International Studies, and bilateral report "Russian-Chinese Dialogue: Model 2015," stressing the importance of contacts between young experts of the two countries for preparing agreed proposals and support of an integrated approach to analysis of the bilateral relationship.
The discussants concurred with each other in the view that relations between Russia and China are advancing speedily along the political track, while the economic side seems grossly underused. In order to expand bilateral cooperation, the sides found proper to strengthen interaction on the youths and scientific exchanges, as well as training of Russia and China experts. Special attention should be given to development of ties between Russian and Chinese media.
