On November 17, 2025, participants of the InteRussia internship program for foreign specialists—implemented by the Institute for International Studies at MGIMO University, the Gorchakov Fund for Public Diplomacy Support, and the Internationalists Autonomous Nonprofit Organization—visited the Russian International Affairs Council (RIAC).

During the meeting, RIAC Head of the Asia and Eurasia Program Yulia Melnikova briefed the interns on the Council’s main research areas and spoke about the unique features of Track II diplomacy as a professional field. RIAC Program Managers Konstantin Sukhoverkhov, Ivan Bocharov, and Milan Lazovic; Program Coordinators Gleb Gryzlov and Alexandra Terzi; and RIAC’s Publishing Editor Daniil Rastegaev provided detailed insights into the specifics of their work and their main research goals in their respective areas of interest.

During the Q&A session, InteRussia participants shared their research interests and discussed possibilities for further developing their ideas in collaboration with RIAC. The meeting also featured a lively discussion of current global issues, with particular attention to the future of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization and Russia’s relations with Middle Eastern countries.
