On November 26, 2015, RIAC held yet another annual General Meeting, the top governing body of the think tank, which was attended by Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Rogozin, who addressed the audience with opening remarks.
At the Meeting RIAC President Igor Ivanov announced that RIAC Board of Trustees unanimously elected Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov as the Board Chairman, the post occupied by late Academician Eugeny Primakov since RIAC establishment.
On November 26, 2015, RIAC held yet another annual General Meeting, the top governing body of the think tank, which was attended by Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Rogozin, who addressed the audience with opening remarks.
At the Meeting RIAC President Igor Ivanov announced that RIAC Board of Trustees unanimously elected Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov as the Board Chairman, the post occupied by late Academician Eugeny Primakov since RIAC establishment.
Dr. Ivanov presented results of RIAC activities in 2015 and the outline for the coming 2016, after which RIAC approved both the report and the 2016 financial plan.
On the same day, RIAC Board of Trustees and Presidium held their sessions, with the former reviewing RIAC 2015 report and presenting recommendations for prioritizing activities in 2016, and the latter approving basic documents, programs and plans, as well as admitting new members.
Following the Presidium’s decision, a list of new RIAC members was announced to the General Meeting:

4. Vladimir Grigoryev, Deputy Director of the Federal Agency on Media and Mass Communications;
5. Mikhail Konarovsky, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation;
6. Dmitry Livanov, Minister of Education and Science of the Russian Federation;
7. Sergey Luzyanin, Director of RAS Institute for Far Eastern Studies;
8. Igor Morgulov, Deputy Foreign Minister of the Russian Federation;
9. Alexander Torshin, Deputy Chairman of the Central Bank of the Russian Federation;
10. Vladimir Filippov, Rector of Russian University of Peoples’ Friendship;
11. Yuri Shafranik, Founder and Board Chairman of International Group Soyuzneftegaz
12. Mikhail Shvydkoy, Special Representative of Russian President on International Cultural Cooperation, Ambassador-at-Large, Russian Federation Minister of Culture in 2000-2004;
13. Andrey Kolosovsky, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation, Deputy Foreign Minister in 1991-1993, entrepreneur.
