During the meeting, RIAC and Shanghai University representatives discussed current issues in Russian-Chinese relations and opportunities for cooperation between the Council and the SCO Public Diplomacy Institute.

On February 22, 2019, Russian International Affairs Council (RIAC) hosted a meeting with the delegation of the Shanghai University.

The Chinese delegation included prof. Li Wei, Director of SCO Public Diplomacy Institute at Shanghai University, prof. Zhang Henglong, Deputy Director of the Institute, prof. Ouyang Guangming, Dean of the School of Marxism, Shanghai University, and Zhang Zhenzhen, Research Assistant at the SCO Public Diplomacy Institute. The meeting was also attended by Vladimir Petrovsky, Chief Research Fellow at the Centre for Russian–Chinese Relations Studies and Forecasting of the Institute of Far Eastern Studies of the Russian Academy of Sciences.

On the part of RIAC, Timur Makhmutov, Deputy Director of Programs, and Ksenia Kuzmina, RIAC Program Manager, took part in the event.
