On September 25, 2020, Andrey Kortunov, RIAC Director General, had a meeting with Artti Helantera, Finnish Ambassador, and Merja Lahtinen, Minister-Counsellor, Head of the Political Unit of the Embassy.

The discussion focused on the current challenges in relations between Russia and Europe, the future of transatlantic relations in the context of the upcoming presidential elections in the United States, as well as the opportunities for bilateral cooperation between Russia and Finland. Andrey Kortunov informed Finnish diplomats about current RIAC projects and plans on the Baltic and Arctic vectors of research.
