In particular, they discussed legal and military-strategic consequences of the admission of four new territories to Russia, the possibility of a fast-track NATO membership for Ukraine, the likelihood of increased Western sanctions pressure on Moscow, the prospects for international mediation in ending the conflict, and the challenges of post-conflict reconstruction of territories affected by the conflict.

Other issues included the recent sabotage on the Nord Stream gas pipeline, the significance of partial mobilization for the course of the military conflict, the possibility of extending agreements on the export of Ukrainian grain, and international mechanisms for monitoring a future ceasefire agreement. Ambassadors of Germany, Switzerland, the Netherlands, Slovakia, Cyprus and other European countries took part in the meeting. Werner Almhofer, Ambassador of Austria to Russia, moderated the discussion.
