On June16, 2014 RIAC President Igor Ivanov and RIAC Director General Andrey Kortunov received Pierre Fernando Cassini, President of the Italian Senate Foreign Affairs Committee to discuss opportunities for improving Russia-EU relations in the Ukraine crisis context and prospects for the future cooperation between RIAC and Italian think tanks. The event was also attended by Emma Fattorini of the Democratic Party; Cristina di Pietro of the Five Stars Movement; Minister Counselor of Italian Embassy in Moscow Stefano Ravagnan; Ambassador Anatoly Adamishin, President of Association for Euro-Atlantic Cooperation; Fyodor Lukyanov, Editor-in-Chief of Russia in Global Affairs magazine and Presidium Chairman of the Council on Foreign and Defense Policy; and RIAC’s Deputy Program Director Timur Makhmutov and Program Manager Natalia Evtikhevich.
