On October 8, 2020, a regular Board of Trustees meeting of the International Crisis Group, an independent, non-profit, non-governmental organization committed to preventing and resolving deadly conflict, was held in an online format.

The following issues were addressed during the meeting: the potential impact of the results of the upcoming presidential elections in the United States on crisis situations in the regions of the Middle East and North Africa and in Afghanistan, as well as on multilateral cooperation in countering terrorism and political extremism. Andrey Kortunov, RIAC Director General, represented Russia at the International Crisis Group Board of Trustees meeting.
