On September 9, 2021, the Russian International Affairs Council (RIAC) with the Royal United Services Institute (RUSI) held a closed workshop on approaches of Russia and the UK in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA). The workshop was organized within the framework of the sixth round of the project “A New Agenda for Russia–UK Relations”.
On September 9, 2021, the Russian International Affairs Council (RIAC) with the Royal United Services Institute (RUSI) held a closed workshop on approaches of Russia and the UK in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA). The workshop was organized within the framework of the sixth round of the project “A New Agenda for Russia–UK Relations”.
The goals of the meeting were to discuss the interests of Russia and UK in the MENA, and to search for convergence of positions on key issues of the regional agenda. Within the framework of the workshop two sessions were held. The first session was devoted to the interests and positions of Russia and UK in the MENA. The second one was dedicated to the views of the two states on the factors of regional instability.
The event was attended by leading Russian and British experts.
