On November 20, 2013 RIAC President Igor Ivanov held a meeting with the Vice-Chairman of the British research center Chatham House, former British Ambassador to Russia Sir Roderic Michael John Lyne. During the meeting the parties discussed the prospects for implementing the Russian-British project aimed at developing bilateral relations between the two countries that is being planned by the Russian International Affairs Council and King's College London along with other RIAC projects related to the European security and cooperation. Special emphasis was attached to the potential joint initiatives in the framework of the upcoming UK-Russia Year of Culture 2014. RIAC Director General Andrey Kortunov also participated in the meeting.
