On March 4, 2020, at the office of the Delegation of the European Union to Russia, Igor Ivanov, RIAC President, addressed the ambassadors of the EU member states on the current state and prospects for the development of relations between Russia and the European Union.

On March 4, 2020, at the office of the Delegation of the European Union to Russia, Igor Ivanov, RIAC President, addressed the ambassadors of the EU member states on the current state and prospects for the development of relations between Russia and the European Union.

Igor Ivanov outlined the most relevant opportunities for restoring Russian-European cooperation, and also spoke about the formats for such cooperation.

The questions and comments of European diplomats that followed the presentation covered various aspects of cooperation between Russia and the EU, including eastern Ukraine crisis resolution, European security issues, the future of pan-European organizations, the modality of EU sanctions against Russia, etc.

The event was moderated by Markus Ederer, EU Ambassador to the Russian Federation. The meeting was also attended by Andrey Kortunov, RIAC Director General.
