On March 22, 2021, the Italian Institute of International Affairs (Istituto Affari Internazionali, IAI) held an international presentation of the analytical report on the challenges of strategic autonomy of the European Union, which has recently been released by the Institute.

On March 22, 2021, the Italian Institute of International Affairs (Istituto Affari Internazionali, IAI) held an international presentation of the analytical report on the challenges of strategic autonomy of the European Union, which has recently been released by the Institute.

Nathalie Tocci, Director of the Institute of International Affairs, addressed the participants with an opening speech. The participants of the ensuing discussion included: Nicholas Burns, former Under Secretary of State for Political Affairs; Wolfgang Ischinger, Chairman of the Munich Security Conference; Sylvie Kauffmann, Political Editor of the newspaper Le Monde; Fu Ying, Chair, Foreign Affairs Committee, National People’s Congress; and Andrey Kortunov, Director General of the Russian International Affairs Council (RIAC).
