On January 16, 2014 RIAC Director General Andrey Kortunov received a feedback to the publication “Russia and France: 20 Proposals for Long-Term Partnership” by the French Minister of Foreign Affairs Laurent Fabius. The above mentioned document was prepared as part of the joint work of the RIAC and Franco-Russian think-tank l’Observatoire in 2013. After the presentation on October 28, 2013 in RIA-Novosti the proposals were sent to the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of Russia and France.

In his letter, Laurent Fabius emphasizes the high quality of the work and underlines that some of the document provisions largely correspond to the immediate objectives of the French MFA linked to defining key areas of cooperation between Russia and France. In particular, this refers to the issues of migration, attracting investment and developing strategic dialogue between the two countries.
