On August 26, 2015, the Russian International Affairs Council held a roundtable on intermediate effects of the 1st Minsk Agreement. The roundtable also became the venue for presentation of report Russia's New Ukraine Policy and Future Russia-Ukraine Interdependence prepared by MGIMO-University Assistant Professor Andrey Sushentsov, Program Director of the Valdai Forum and Director of Foreign Policy agency. The ensuing discussion covered intermediate outcomes of the Minsk Agreement, appropriate conditions for its implementation and prospects for Russia-Ukraine settlement.

The event was opened by RIAC Director General Andrey Kortunov and attended by authors of RIAC working paper The Ukraine Challenge for Russia – Assistant Professor of Post-Soviet Space Chair at Russian State University for Humanities Alexander Gushchin, Assistant Professor of Foreign Regions and Foreign Policy Studies at Russian State University for Humanities Sergey Markedonov, Assistant Professor of Integration Processes Chair at MGIMO-University Anna Tsibulina – as well as by key experts on Russian-Ukrainian relations from Institute of World Economy and International Relations, RAS Institute for European Studies, MGIMO-University, Russian State University for Humanities, media and civil society activists.
