On December 22, 2015 the delegation of the Russian International Affairs Council (RIAC) visited the Shanghai Academy of Social Sciences (SASS). The RIAC delegation was received by SASS Vice President Wang Zhen. He shared the plans of the Academy for the research in the field of the Chinese One Belt, One Road initiative and expressed a wish to start cooperation with RIAC in this area.

On December 22, 2015 the delegation of the Russian International Affairs Council (RIAC) visited the Shanghai Academy of Social Sciences (SASS).

The delegation headed by RIAC Program Director Ivan Timofeev included Deputy Program Director Timur Makhmutov, Chief Research Fellow of RAS Institute for Far Eastern Studies (IFES) Vladimir Petrovsky, RIAC Program Manager Liudmila Filippova, and IFES external PhD student Yuri Kulintsev.

The RIAC delegation was received by SASS Vice President Wang Zhen. He shared the plans of the Academy for the research in the field of the Chinese One Belt, One Road initiative and expressed a wish to start cooperation with RIAC in this area.

Following the meeting, there took place a short discussion of topical issues in Russian-Chinese relations with the leading experts of the Academy under the guidance of Pan Dawei, Director of SASS Center for Russian Studies.
