On January 20, 2021, Danish Institute for International Studies held a webinar in memory of Per Carlsen, the first Director of DIIS and Danish Ambassador to Russia.

The speakers of the webinar included: Andrey Kortunov, Director General of the Russian International Affairs Council; Dmitri Trenin, Director of the Carnegie Moscow Center; and Lilia Shevtsova; Member of the Board, Liberal Mission Foundation, Moscow. Over fifty Danish experts, journalists, professors and students from local universities joined the event.
