The paper is devoted to various mutual influences of culture and disasters, offering an analysis of the impacts of local beliefs, cultural specifics and mentalities on the aftereffects of epidemics, natural and manmade catastrophes.

The event was attended by government officials, civil society leaders and academia, with RIAC represented by Anton Tsvetov, Media and Government Relations Manager.
The session was part of the IFRC campaign on promotion of the new report, as similar events were held in Doha, Geneva, New York, Brussels and Budapest.
