The meeting discussed the prospects of development of Russia’s “soft power” in the new millennium. Andrei Kortunov dwelled on the issues involved in formation of a leverage of public-private partnership in achieving the objectives of Russia’s foreign policy. He also discussed the ways to identify Russia’s prospective partners abroad from among influential civil institutions, the mass media, independent analytical centers, and educational institutions.

RIAC General Director Andrei Kortunov on 31 October addressed a meeting of the Russian Public Council for International Cooperation, the Public Chamber of the Russian Federation.
