On November 26, 2020, Russian International Affairs Council (RIAC), together with the Delegation of the European Union to Russia, held a discussion of the report “Alternative Futures of EU-Russia Relations in 2030”, prepared within the framework of the project “Russia and EU: Partnership Opportunities and Building of a Think Tank Network”.
ShortThe bilateral agenda of the workshop included the following issues: key German policies during the Presidency of the Council of the European Union; assessment of the state of relations between Russia and the EU and the prospects for their development in the post-COVID world; climate agenda and objectives of energy cooperation between Russia and the EU; traditional and new security challenges, etc.

the 2nd workshop, this time online, to discuss possible scenarios for
Russia-the EU relations by 2030.
The online discussion focused on further cooperation and plans for the joint seminar by RIAC and the German Embassy during the period of the German EU Council Presidency
ShortOn January 27, 2020, Igor Ivanov, RIAC President, had a meeting with Marcus Ederer, Ambassador of the European Union to the Russian Federation. During the meeting, topical issues of relations between Russia and the EU were discussed, as well as RIAC 2020 work plans in the area of European studies, including joint activities during Croatia’s and Germany’s presidency in the European Union.
