Russian International Affairs Council (RIAC) and Pathfinder Foundation (PF, Sri Lanka) signed a cooperation agreement.

The document was signed by Andrey Kortunov, Director General of RIAC, and Bernard Goonetilleke, Chairman of PF.

Parties agreed on exchanging analytical papers, implementing joint projects to strengthen the stance of the two countries in the international arena, conducting roundtable discussions, developing interaction between Russian and Sri Lankan institutions in international research activities, as well as engaging in mutual informational support through the web resources and social media channels.

Pathfinder Foundation (PF) was launched in 2008 as an independent, non-profit, non-partisan and advocacy think tank, which has played a catalytic role in promoting economic policy reforms in Sri Lanka. Under its wings PF has two centres viz. ‘Centre for Indo-Lanka Initiatives’ (CILI) and ‘China- Sri Lanka Cooperation Studies Centre’ (CSLCSC). Pathfinder Foundation has linked up with an array of think-tanks in China, India, Singapore and the US.
