On February 8, 2021, Andrey Kortunov, RIAC Director General, took part in a working meeting with Marta Dassu, Senior Director of European Affairs at The Aspen Institute Italia.

The online meeting was held as part of a joint RIAC and the Aspen Institute project on the analysis of Russian-European relations. The sides discussed the current state of Russian-European relations and decided to hold a joint expert workshop on the current Russian-European agenda, including an analysis of the policies of Russia and the EU facing new political cycles and the challenges from China and the United States; interaction between Russia and the EU in the Mediterranean region, positions of Libya and Turkey. The workshop will bring together Russian and international experts from academic institutions, European research centers, universities and non-governmental organizations. The meeting was attended by Alessandra Iaccino (Aspen Institute Italia) and Tatiana Bogdasarova, RIAC Program Manager.
