On June 18, 2020, a virtual meeting was held between Andrey Kortunov, RIAC Director General, and Marta Dassu, Senior Advisor European Affairs, Aspen Institute. The discussion focused on the launch of a pilot project with the Aspen Institute.

The project is aimed at analyzing Russian-European and transatlantic relations at the present stage. It was proposed to conduct a virtual workshop, as the first project event, to assess the impact of the global crisis on relations between Russia and the EU countries, including the impact of the coronavirus COVID-19 pandemic on Russia and the EU. The participants of the workshop will also consider the effects of falling oil prices and their impact on the economies of Russia and the EU.
