The event was co-hosted by the Harriman Institute at Columbia University, New York University Jordan Center for the Advanced Study of Russia, and PONARS-Eurasia academic network.
About one hundred and forty participants of the event joined the discussion on the prospects for normalizing Russia-the U.S. relations, possible new conflicts of interest between Russia and the United States, as well as the impact of interaction between Moscow and Washington on global stability. Russia was represented by two speakers: Andrey Kortunov, Director General of the Russian International Affairs Council (RIAC), and Victoria Zhuravleva, RIAC Expert, Head of the Center for North American Studies at the Primakov National Research Institute of World Economy and International Relations (IMEMO).
