On October 24–26, 2019, New York City hosted a regular Board of Trustees meeting of the International Crisis Group, an independent non-profit multinational organization focusing on armed conflict prevention.

On October 24–26, 2019, New York City hosted a regular Board of Trustees meeting of the International Crisis Group, an independent non-profit multinational organization focusing on armed conflict prevention.

The following issues were discussed in the course of the meeting: European Union foreign policy agenda, the main vectors of ICG current work in Sudan and neighboring African countries, the challenges of settlement in Nagorno-Karabakh, the state and dynamics of competition between the USA and China, conflicts in the Middle East and North Africa, social and political issues in Latin America, and the factor of economic sanctions in modern international relations. 

Andrey Kortunov, RIAC Director General, represented Russia at the International Crisis Group Board of Trustees meeting.
