On December 19, 2013 RIAC President Igor Ivanov met the Deputy Foreign Minister of the Russian Federation and RIAC member Sergey Ryabkov. The parties discussed RIAC projects concerning the development of Russian-American relations, including joint initiatives of the RIAC and the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace, Nuclear Threat Initiative, United States Atlantic Council, George Washington University, Global Zero, Brookings Institution, Center for International and Security Studies and other American partners of the Russian Council. RIAC President briefed Sergey Ryabkov on the results of RIAC’s work in 2013 and about the Council’s plans for 2014. RIAC Director General Andrey Kortunov also participated in the meeting.
