On February 5, 2019, Russian International Affairs Council held a seminar “Challenges and Opportunities in Relations between Russia and France”. The special speaker was the French Foreign Minister (1997–2002) Hubert Védrine. The meeting discussed issues such as risks to relations between Russia and the EU, prospects for Russia-France relations, the future of the EU, and Russia-EU relations.

Sylvie Bermann, Ambassador of France to Russia, also took part in the meeting.
