On May 19, 2021, Andrey Kortunov, RIAC Director General, and Daniel Russell, President and CEO of the US-Russia Business Council (USRBC), held a briefing on current issues of Russia-the U.S. relations for a group of Sberbank international investors.

The event was attended by about 60 businessmen, financial analysts and experts from the United States and Europe. The discussion focused on the prospects of the U.S. policy of sanctions against Russia, the possible outcomes of the upcoming meeting between Vladimir Putin and Joe Biden, the specifics of interaction between the two countries in regional conflicts, the future of bilateral arms control mechanisms, and the chances of ending the "diplomatic war" between Moscow and Washington.
