On March 1, 2022, the residence of the U.S. Ambassador to Russia (Spaso House), hosted a meeting between Andrey Kortunov, RIAC Director General, and American diplomats on the prospects for Russia-the U.S. cooperation in the context of European security crisis and Russia's special operation on the territory of Ukraine.

Parties discussed various scenarios for the further development of the crisis and its possible impact on global stability. The meeting was attended by James Boughner, Minister Counsellor for Economic Affairs at the U.S. Embassy; Bo Palmer, Political Counselor at the U.S. Embassy Moscow; and Andrew Freeman, Second Secretary of the U.S. Embassy (Political Affairs).
